My name is Theodore "Ted" Nugget. I know: unfortunate name. But it served me well in the travel industry where I worked for over 20 years, most at my own agency called "Have Nugget Will Travel."
Lots has changed in the industry over the years. The internet radically altered how we plan trips and agents like myself became obsolete.
However, I still give advice. And the most common thing people outside of the United States ask is, "Mr. Nugget, is that your real name?"
And I answer, "Yes, of course. You think I would make-up a name like Nugget?" And we laugh.
But then it usually turns serious: "Is the United States safe, Mr. Nugget?"
I love the United States. We are the greatest country in the world and I soon saw that my job was to convince others abroad that, yes, the United States is very safe. I know: people get a little scared about the guns.
But it is the guns that make us safe. It really is.
The purpose of this website is to help alleviate the fear that some of those have in other countries about our freedom.
If you follow a few simple rules, you can have an action-packed, fun-filled holiday in the good ol' U.S. of A.! And maybe not even get shot.
